First of all: How do you pronounce HEIKE? Just like this: 'Hi-Kuh'.
Heike grew up with a camera in her hand. Her Father – a wonderful and passionate photographer as well – was the first one to introduce her to this Art. He showed her the tricks and skills of traditional photography.
In May of 2001, Heike took on her first wedding photography assignment with her Father at her side. It was a small wedding at a beautiful 16th-century castle in Eastern Germany – Heike’s home country.
She enjoyed this type of photography so much, that as soon as she got back to her family in the US, turned her favorite hobby into a rewarding business. Now, she is excited about every assignment, no matter how big or how small – she just loves to capture the emotions of a moment in life, the love between people and their families and friends, so that you will always be able to look back and relive those very special moments.

Over the years, Heike's two older sons Simon and Seth as well as her husband Danny have started to be valuable assistants. Together we can take on the itty bitty babies, runaway toddlers, shy or bold High School seniors, whole families, weddings, and our latest adventure: sports teams.

Heike is a professional member of the PPA, THE organization of Professional Photographers of America. Currently, she is working on becoming a CPP, Certified Professional Photographer, which will take the quality of her photography to an even more steady and higher level.

She also is a Photographer and Digital Retouch Artist with the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation, an organization that provides remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the free gift of professional portraiture.
